Design Principal Kate Herron’s passion originates in a family history of drawing and engineering based amongst the National galleries in DC, a formal education in business and art, graduate research in international architecture, historical preservation, landscape architecture, industrial design and photography, and ultimately, a series of collaborations with architects, designers, fabricators and publishers. Kate is an avid sailor with racing experience around the globe. This relationship with the sea has made environmentally sustainable design an utmost priority and serves as a guideline for creative development.

Master of Design for Adaptive Reuse Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design, with coursework completed at the University of Pennsylvania and Brown University. Dual degrees with honors in BA Business Management and BA Graphic Design and Art History from Washington College, with coursework completed at the Maryland Institute College of Art. Kate is a recipient of RISD's distinguished GS Grant for her research into adaptive environments for Wounded Warriors.
